Goodbye Brangelina! Angelina Jolie Files for Divorce
The marriage of Hollywood mega couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (called Brangelina by fans) is over.
Jolie filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The star is requesting full custody of the couple’s six kids (Pitt gets visitation rights) and no spousal support says TMZ. The celebrity gossip site also cited Pitt’s parenting method as the reason for the split.

According to court reports, the couple separated September 15,2016.
Since word of the divorce hit the press, there has been a handful of theories as to the cause of the rift. Page Six states that Jolie hired a private investigator to find out if her husband of two years (and partner of 10) was cheating on her wit Allied co-star Marion Cotillard and it turned out he was (allegedly). The post also states differences (Pitt wanting to remain in Hollywood and Jolie wanting to do more ‘serious’ work) and Pitt’s drug and anger issues as the secondary reasons.

Official statements from the two have been neutral and more about the kids
“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids,” Pitt said in a statement to CNN. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
“Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest to protect her children,” Geyer Kosinski, Jolie’s manager, told E! News. “She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
Meanwhile, here’s how Twitter is reacting to the news – with shock, sadness and lots of Jennifer Anniston memes
