If you are looking for a way to cut down your consumption of fat, eating grilled foods is the answer.

Grilling is a healthy way to eat food without all of the fat, when grilling the fat drips away, leaving you with succulent meat to enjoy.

A variety of foods can be grilled likewise fruits. Asides grilling hotdogs, hamburgers, ribs, kabobs, meat etc you can also grill fruits such as onions, pineapples and vegetables.

Healthy BBQ treats

Grilled pineapples: when grilling pineapples, the first step to take is to slice the pineapples, once the grill is hot you place the sliced pineapples on the grate. It is important you keep an eye on your grill, so the pineapples do not get burnt or dry out. Grilling pineapples makes there juices sweeter and have a smoky flavor.

Caramelized vegetables: like i said earlier, vegetables can also be grilled. You can even cook vegetables on the grill. Place the veggies of your choice in a piece of aluminum foil. Sprinkle them with some extra virgin olive oil. Tent the foil securely over them. This allows the space to turn into a convection oven and cook them evenly. Add a bit of soy sauce to the veggies so it can caramelize them. Try onions, sliced bell peppers, hot peppers and zucchini.

Tasty kabobs: for your kabob you can put anything on it, to act as flavor for it to taste good on the grill. In the interest of low fat treats, skewer your kabobs with veggies, chicken chunks, shrimp and lean beef. If you want to cover your kabobs in a  barbecue glaze, wait until they are about done cooking and then place on a piece of foil so the marinade can caramelize.

When it comes to food, it is always to experiment. This weekend you can try your hands on any of these BBQ treats listed above.
