Writing down your problems can be incredibly cathartic. When your head is whizzing at a hundred miles an hour, it can be difficult to make head or tail of your thoughts. Writing things out is extremely effective and can help you to make sense of things. Is it time to contact a divorce lawyer as your relationship has broken down?

Do you need to buy a to-do list and plan your time better? Do you need to need to speak to a debt management company regarding your finances? When you can pinpoint the source of your worries then you can then take proactive steps towards resolution. Instead of trying to process a million whirring thoughts, journaling can help you work out exactly what’s bothering you and what to do next.

Take a Bath

The most simple, easy thing you could do. Run some hot water in the bathtub, pour in some bubbles and soak. The power of a hot bath is not to be underestimated. Soaking in hot water can lower blood pressure and ease tense muscles, which can be a problem when you’re stressed and tensing up. Lying in a warm bath also provides a relaxing space where you can really clear your mind and let go of your worries for a while. It’s accessible, essentially free and an easy way to de-stress after a busy day.

And, if you wan to kick things up a notch, why not try this bath bomb? It has shea and cocoa butter so it leaves your body feeling soft. And I can’t tell you how amazing they smell. Check them out here.

Practice Self Massage

Another way you can ease tense joints as well as release the brain’s ‘happy chemicals’ is by massage. If you have a partner to help then even better, but self massage can also be very effective. Focus on the hands, feet and limbs, there are tonnes of tutorials online showing techniques. Again it’s something so easy and accessible, all you need is some massage oil or even some body lotion and it could make you feel far better.

Do you suffer from chronic stress or anxiety? Have you thought about therapy? What do you do when you’re having a down day?
