Strawberry Banana Bread? So Heavenly!

Strawberry banana bread: I’ve always had a weakness for Banana bread. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s so yummy or if it’s because of how easy it is to make. No kneading nonsense like if you have to bake a normal bread and yeah, I know there are high powered kneaders these days, but I can’t get over sore hands from kneading for hours on end as a child. It put me off bread baking, I can tell you.

Anyway, the lack of continuous stirring always endeared Banana bread to me and my children have been the chief recipient of that. I have tried different variations to the classic Banana bread recipe and I love the one with raisins. I’ve never tried it with strawberries though, so when our friends at supermart.ng sent over this strawberry banana bread recipe, I got excited. I’ll tell you why strawberries are exciting.

Why Banana bread and strawberry is so exciting!

It’s simple really, I get strawberries from Jos, Plateau state. Most times I make smoothies with them and then the children eat them or take them in their cereal. I have been planning to do something creative with the strawberries, you know…bring out my cordon bleu hat. Once upon a time, I used to whip up recipes for my family, strangely I haven’t done much of that since I got married and started having children.

So yeah, you can imagine why this is exciting.

We have shared other recipes from supermartng.com here and each one is something to look forward to. By the way, if you live in Lagos, Nigeria you should try ordering your groceries from them.

Now on to our recipe.
