Beauty and makeup is constantly evolving and if you don’t keep your eyes on YouTube videos and beauty blogs, you are going to end up on the sidewalk wandering when ladies switched eye pencils for brow powder and gel liner.
One of the latest beauty trends is “the glow”. You may or may not have noticed how celebrities and makeup artists have been glowing. Not the pregnancy glow but that sun-glazed look on their cheekbones and nose. For the better part of a month, I just assumed it was bronzer as it has mostly the same effect. But while watching a makeup video by Shayla, I realized that they are two very different makeup products. Shayla used both bronzer and glow kit. The glow kit was by Anastasia Beverly Hills.
What does the Glow Kit do?
Basically, it makes you glow (pretty obvious right?) Anastasia defines the glow kit as
“A collection of four metallic powder highlighters for intense luminosity. Layer shades of Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit, or wear them separately, on the face and body for a radiant glow.”
It’s usually gorgeous and I have loved it on every person I have seen it on. Although, you have to be wearing full face makeup – foundation, highlight, contour, the whole package – to fully appreciate the look.
Who is using it?
All makeup-aware ladies are using it. But more specifically, the avid users are celebrities and makeup artists.
Not just the international celebrities but the home based ones too. Toke Makinwa seems to love it and who can blame her? She looks gorgeous with that extra glow.
Makeup artists are using it on themselves and their clients. The end look is head-turning
After watching the video by Shayla, I tried searching for the product on our popular ecommerce stores and none seem to have it. You may have to buy it at a walk-in store or directly from the source
What do you think? Will you be joining the glow merry band very soon?
