Alicia Keys is on the cover of yet another magazine. The 15-time Grammy winner stays true to her vow of letting go of perfection as she poses bare faced on the cover of Glamour Magazine.
In her exclusive interview with the magazine, Keys speaks about her music career – taking a break from music after her Girl on Fire tour, working on her sixth album, her philanthropic work and her two beautiful sons. Speaking on her upcoming album, she defines her new music as “timeless”
“Now, I think I’ve created something timeless, music that could come out today or 30 years from now. It will remain powerful.”
Looks like Keys is committed to her plan to stay true to herself (and not just on magazine covers). In her “In Common” music video, she also appears barefaced in a relatively simple attire (compared to the dozens of heavily embellished and studded outfits stars wear in music videos). It takes a lot of guts to go natural in a world where almost everyone is obsessed with beauty and image.
Just as reality star Kim Kardashian made everyone contour crazy, Keys just might succeed in changing our concept of beauty and how we see ourselves.
