No doubt the children are thrilled to be spending down time at home and this probably equals toys underfoot and messy stashes here there and everywhere.
A few tips to control the mess
1. Ensure that there are dedicated toy boxes in strategic parts of the house.
2. Theme the toys that they play with; so for instance if they have a variety of train and car toys the theme for the week could be transport and only such toys will be available. All other toys will be stowed away out of reach.
3. If possible, dedicate a room as a playroom and ensure that that space is used for games and playing etc.
4. If the environment is safe, encourage more outdoor play.
