Romantic comedy “The Wedding Party” directed by Kemi Adetiba hit cinemas nationwide on December 16 2016. “The Wedding Party” was written by playwright, Tosin Otudeko, and has grossed over 400 million naira.
Kemi Adetiba who directed the record-breaking movie, assured fans that “The Wedding Party” will debut online.
The movie finally made its debut on Netflix on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
The romantic comedy which premiered at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, stars Adesua Etomi as Dunni Coker, Banky W as Dozie, Alibaba and Sola Sobowale as Dunni’s parents, and Ireti Doyle and Richard Mofe-Damijo as Dozie’s parents.
The Wedding Party cast include Zainab Balogun, Enyinna Nwigwe, Frank Donga, Saka, AY, Ikechukwu, Beverly Naya, Emma OhMaGod, Lepacious Bose amongst others.
Set in Lagos, Nigeria, “The Wedding Party” follows the story of Dunni Coker and Dozie. Chaos prevails when their families prepares for a lavish wedding. A star-studded romantic comedy that gives every actor and character the room to be important and relevant to the story without ruining it.
Scenes of fighting family and unwanted guests, as well as exes and side chics, where the brides dress got torn lol, Dunni and Dozie’s big day almost turned into a nightmare.
