Prayer for Your Parents: 30 Day Prayer (Day 13)

Dear Lord, I thank you for my parents, for the life and strength so far. I ask my God that You will continue to lift and uphold them, giving them strength to be independent and comfortable. Continually prosper the work of their hands and may they be blessings of wisdom to us and source of comfort and joy to their grandchildren. I pray that they will age gracefully, and they will experience your peace all round. Amen.

Pray specifically if there are health problems, ask for His divine healing upon them. Commit their movement to God. Declare protection upon them whether at home or when they go out.

Pray for their needs to be met as at when due, there shall be no lack. Pray for understanding on your part as they get older for you to be kinder and caring as it is a duty God expects from you.

Pray that your duty to your parents will not cause strife in your marital home. Ask for wisdom on your part to handle your marriage and responsibility to your aging parents.

Looking after your parents is a necessary thing, remember you will be in the same position one day. As you cater to your in-laws your parents need your care, and vice versa.

Prayer for your parents is the 13th prayer in our 30 Day Prayer for our families, see the rest on our website.
