Traveling alone is the single best gift you can give yourself. You should travel alone, even if it is just once in your life. There is something about solo travel that connects you deeper to the person you are. There are also experiences you would not otherwise have had if you were in a company of other travelers.
As wonderful as it is to travel alone, there are fears and concerns that keep a lot of people from doing just that. Safety concerns are growing everyday and places that used to be secure, are not anymore. Still, if you really want to to experience solo travel, there are places that you can go to without worrying too much about safety.
This is a list of 5 solo travel places that are known for being safe. One thing they all seem to have in common is that they are all in urban areas. If you are traveling alone, it is always wiser to keep to the city and stay on the beaten tracks. For people like me who like to wander, this can be hard, but it is safer.
