April is the beginning of a new quarter…where did all the time go? This month we will be observing the following days:
- Autism Awareness Day
- World Health Organization Day
- International Mother Earth Day
- World Book and Copyright Day (Port Harcourt is World Book Capital, 2014)
- English Language Day
- World Malaria Day
- World Day for Safety and Health at Work
- International Jazz Day
We’ve embedded the Facebook post below.
Let’s expand a little on all the exciting things we have in store for you:
Women Entrepreneurs
We’re focusing on the WOMAN ENTREPRENEUR this month. We sent out a call last month for women entrepreneurs in the community to sign up with us so we could feature them on this page. Over 50 people responded! We plan to feature these women here and tell you more about the type of businesses they are into and the challenges they face.
Your Home Poultry
If you have children, you already know that you need a lot of eggs. Eggs are a good source of protein and they are really good for the little one. We are bringing in a poultry consultant (who is also a Naija Housewife) to show you how you can start your little home poultry with just a few birds. You can have a daily supply of eggs and if you want to raise a few broilers for Christmas, we’ll show you how too.
Holiday Tips
Since we’re in the holiday period and most of us have kids at home, we will share a few tips on coping with the kids during this period. Whether you are staying at home or you’re all travelling there is something for you. We will also share some activities to keep the little ones busy.
Naija Housewives E-Shop
We are launching our e-shop…we are also testing a new platform and we’ll tell you about this platform and how it can help your business. You could also shop at our store while you’re at it. 😉
How to Make Zobo
We mentioned on the Facebook page that we were going to share our special recipe for making that delicious Naija drink: ZOBO. We will do that this month and include pictures too.
Group Writing
We will be writing a story together. The first two chapters have been written and then we’ll all write the rest chapters together. This story is about Halima, a baby that was abandoned as a child. We can’t wait for this one!
So that’s it on Naija Housewives this month. Don’t forget to invite everyone you know!
