Happy New Year!

It’s a new year and another opportunity to start afresh.

Living a healthy lifestyle improves your personal health and protects your body from diseases like hypertension, diabetes, injuries, stroke, heart disease and obesity.

Here’s a reminder about simple everyday lifestyle decisions you can make to have a healthy year.

  1. Healthy eating: healthy eating includes making healthy choices when eating. Avoid/ reduce intake of junk foods and soda drinks. Drink more of water and natural juices. A healthy diet improves and maintains immunity, boosts energy levels, enhances proper growth and development.
  2. Regular exercise
  3. Rest: this is very important for proper functioning. Take out time to rest, it will prevent many complications of excess stress.
  4. Avoid tobacco use
  5. Reduce alcohol intake
  6. Regular medical check-ups. Ask your health care practitioner about what tests you need for your age.

Have a beautiful year ahead.
