Hello From the Mother Side

If you are an Adele fan like we are, you probably have listened to her new single, Hello at least a dozen times (read: several dozen times). Well, we stumbled upon this video by Emily Mills and she has rewritten Adele’s Hello for mothers. She has a lovely voice that does Adele credit. She sings Hello from the Mother Side and it’s just so funny. It’s also very true and if you are a mum you are definitely going to identify with the lyrics. Words like…

“Hello from the mother side, I must have tried a thousand times, o tell her this homework is really breaking my heart, but when I try it clearly doesn’t tear her apart anymore.” And then she goes on, “I think I might break down and cry, because I love my children but I don’t want any more. Can somebody pass me the pinot noir?”

Emily Mills Hello from the mother side

It’s really hilarious and so relate-able. We think mothers in any part of the world can relate with this. Certainly, we at NH Hq have moaned a lot about the homework…have you seen the sheer amount of homework these children come home with these days?

Any way, click the video below to listen to this version and let us know what you think.
