Housewives Tips: Is Your Sink Blocked?

You know that annoying thing the sink does where it fills with water that just won’t go down the drain? Well, before you call your plumber, there are some things you can try.
1. Use a plunger to drain the existing water 
2. Once it’s all drained, get a large pot of boiling water
3. Pour some detergent into the holes of the drain
4. Next pour the boiling water into the drain
What happens most times is that the oil from your cooking goes into the pipes and clogs the system making it difficult for water to pass. The detergent and hot water serve in melting the oil so that the water flows easily. You can do this twice or thrice until the water flows very well. Don’t forget to keep your sink clean each night before you go to bed.
