The Naija Housewives Live Chat is a Facebook event. Every month, we invite a guest to our Facebook page to talk to us about a given topic, and the community gets to ask that guest any question on that topic.

At Najia Housewives, our guiding philosophy is to help Nigerian women achieve their highest potential in marriage, career and life. In order to fulfill that, we have created several avenues by which we can enrich the life of the Nigerian woman. One of such ways is the Live Chat.

We usually take nominations from the members of the Facebook page on what they wish to talk about or know more about and then we look for experts in that field to talk to us about that topic. We have even taken suggestions from members of the community on which expert to invite and we got that expert to talk to us.

How the Chat Works

This is usually a full day event, starting from 10 am to 7pm and the expert is fully on hand through out that time period to answer questions and give advice. Because of the time span, the Live Chat almost always holds on a Saturday.

The chat will take place on a SINGLE thread; Naija Housewives introduces the expert and everything takes place in the comments section. After the introduction post the expert comments on the post, giving a brief summary of the subject.

Once that is done, you can then ask your questions and the expert will be around to answer your questions using the ‘reply’ function on the Facebook page.

• Ask questions and interact with the expert and with other commenters
• Tweet about the chat and share on your Facebook profile.
