Think Like A Millionaire

One of the most popularly quoted texts is Napoleon Hill’s “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” And over the years as you talk to different people who have been successful in their fields, you will see that this is absolutely true. In order to become a millionaire, you first have to conceive it and believe it. In conceiving it, one important thing you can do is to think like a millionaire.

 

According to an article on Entrepreneur.com, there are five consistent traits that are common with millionaires and in order to become one, you need to constantly exhibit those traits.

 

The first on the list is: Read non-fiction instead of fiction.

For fiction lovers this is a hard pill to swallow, but if you truly want to achieve the sort of success that other millionaires have achieved, you will expand your reading list to reflect that desire. Elon Musk is a prime example of someone who reads a lot and if we go by his reading list, you will find titles such as Foundation Series by Isaac Asimov, and Einsteen: His Life and Universe by Walter Isaacson.

 

The importance of reading every day cannot be overemphasized, as Tom Corley said in this article, “The reason successful people read is to improve themselves. This separates them from the competition. By increasing their knowledge, they are able to see more opportunities, which translate into more money.”

 

Another trait common among millionaires, is that they Make time to go the extra mile.

Successful people are willing to give their time free, give away a sample, study harder, read more…do something extra in order to make a lasting impression and achieve their burning desire. According to the article:

 

“The most successful millionaires today are those who are not afraid to give up their nights and weekends to study and work.”
