A week ago, ThisDay Style Magazine released a list of the 10 most eligible bachelors in Nigeria under 40. Yes, it read ‘Nigeria’, however looking at the list, most where Lagos-based bachelors. If you live in another part of the country like Kano or Port Harcourt, or even Abuja, you would probably find it difficult to relate. So even though the list said ‘Most Eligible Bachelors in Nigeria Under 40’, we’ve decided to call it what it is and we’re christening it, Eligible Bachelors in Lagos Under 40.
That said, it is actually a really good list, if you are a Lagosian (and yes, we know we are flogging a dead horse, but…). Here is the list from ThisDay Style, along with the photos of the hunted er…bachelors 😀
The names on the list (with their ages in bracket) in no particular order are:
1. Don Jazzy (36)
2. Debola Williams (32)
3. Ladi Delano (36)
4. Gbenga Ashiru (39)
5. Jim Iyke (40)
6. Jide Adenuga (36)
7. Sijibomi Ogundele (36)
8. Olaotan Towry-Coker (36)
9. Paddy Adenuga (33)
10. Uti Nwachukwu (35)
So yeah, these are the most eligible bachelors under 40. They are all really good looking, really successful and really single.
Single ladies, this is a clarion call. It would take a really special woman to relieve these men of their bachelor status. It’s going to take true love. It doesn’t really matter that each one is probably richer than the next, it is as the Chinese say, “Better to cry on the back seat of a limousine than cry at the back of a motorbike”, and if you don’t like that one, well, the British have another one for you:
“It’s as easy to love a rich man as a poor man.”
We can already tell that loving any one of these bachelors is going to be real easy. Or what do you say?
