Just like he said, he did it.

Idris Elba who introduced Davido, to model Naomi Campbell, was present at the concert. There was alo a line up of artists like Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Idowest and Yonda. Not to leave out well known dj’s like Tim Westwood, DJ Ecool, DJ Bibi amongst others.

It was an electrifying show that featured some of the artist’s greatest hits and the crowd was loving the energy. Social media was set on fire as fans kept posting videos, pictures and sang along to the songs. This created an atmosphere that truly celebrated the African star.

The Concert

Davido arrived on a suspended platform leaving fans in total awe.

Although there were rumors that Davido did not completely sell out the show. Moreover, the UK Guardian further strengthened this claim by reporting the show was “nearly sold out”.

Nevertheless Davido has since silenced those rumors on social media releasing pictorial evidence showing that he indeed sold out the show. He wrote on the post,

“Our people and amebo….”

Regardless, it does not really matter whether the show was sold out. Davido has cemented his stance as one of African’s top artists with the success of this show.

Beyond the O2 Arena

He had an emotional moment with his team at a private dinner hosted for him. He shed tears of joy seeing how far he had come and thanked the people who have stood by him through it all.

According to Davido, his next target is New York’s Madison Square Garden and we wish him all the best as he continues to break boundaries.
