KINABUTI Launches the Vlisco Khan Collection

KINABUTI launched its newest “Vlisco Khan” collection at the 2nd edition of SPICE TV’s Runway Fiesta, a one-of-a-kind event fusing fashion, music and style, held in Lagos at the Federal Palace Hotel in VI on Monday.

The live event had Kinabuti showcasing a preview of 15 female looks. The Vlisco Khan collection is inspired by the biography of the great Genghis Khan and his rise to power. Whilst taking us through the Mongolia of the 11th century, evoking visual thoughts of valleys, it describes the values of good leadership, clan belonging, humility and faith.

For the very first time Kinabuti fuses a combination of Vlisco high quality African Prints and the prestigious, elegant and refined Loro Piana cashmere, to create this exquisite statement collection. Also featured in this chic collection are pieces using intricate lace, crochet, and leather fabrics with comprehensive layering, cut outs, patchwork and asymmetrical details. It was a very successful, colourful and elegant event.
