Monalisa Chinda Graces The May 2016 Cover of Genevieve Magazine

Nollywood actress and media personality Monalisa Chinda is positively glowing on the May 2016 cover of Genevieve. The ageless beauty gets candid with the magazine and speaks on finding love when all seemed lost and the burden of being a single 35-year-old (and above) Nigerian woman.
Monalisa got married (traditionally) to her childhood beau Victor Tonye Cole in February 2016. She spoke on how Victor changed her rigid opinion of men.
“Truthfully I had categorized all men as the same useless idiots (pardon my French). I am happy that I feel differently now”
It’s encouraging to know that Monalisa did not give up on love after her divorce with Dejo Richards. The divorce between these two was a public scandal; the constant back and forth, unsubtle shade throwing, it’s not surprising to know Monalisa was left skeptical of men for a while.
She also spoke about how difficult it is for a Nigerian woman over 35 to find love.
“Marriage is always a better option for any woman who is single in this country. Forget 30, once you attain 35 and counting, men in this country call you a dead engine.”
This opinion is due for an update. After all, she did find love at 41, with a Nigerian man no less.
